Jon lucked out and drew for the once-in-a-lifetime bull moose hunt. He scouted around for a few months before the hunt and found this beauty. After locating this moose, Jon and family made frequent trips out to the Currant Creek area to make sure this moose stayed put. Opening morning of the hunt found Jon sneaking up on the moose to get that all important shot while his family anxiously watched nearby. Jon scored and so did the moose. His final measurements were taken November 19, 2003 and he is a whopping 180 4/8" and 54 1/2" wide. 2nd largest moose in the state of Utah. He weighed approximately 1250 pounds. If you are interested in seeing this patriarch of the mountain, he should be finished and on display at the Strawberry store.
